Bright colours however may fade a little after prolonged exposure to the elements. Is Comcork flooring more expensive than other resilient flooring? Comcork flooring is in the mid price range of commercial flooring products. Considering its qualities and long life expectancy, Comcork offers great value for money. Can Comcork be installed in wet areas? Yes. Comcork is impervious. Moisture can not soak into it. It is important however to utilise a two part polyurethane or epoxy adhesive under the flooring in all wet areas, as this creates an added moisture barrier. How do you treat the joins? Comcork is made from cork and rubber, not PVC. Therefore it is not weldable with PVC weld rod. All Comcork sheets are square cut in the factory. All edges are simply butt joined side by side. Sheets should be laid out in a “brick bond” fashion. Can Comcork be coved? Yes. Comcork Flooring material is very flexible, even in cold conditions, and is coved in the same manner as vinyl flooring products other than the joins are not welded. A clear silicone can be applied to internal or external coved corners to aid in moisture resistance if required. Back to top Can Comcork flooring be recycled after use?
